Can my baby travel on my passport?

Yes. Every individual traveler — regardless of age — must have their own India e-Visa. This includes infants, toddlers, and children under 18. There is no 'family visa' option for India. Each child must have their own passport (not added to a parent's passport) and their own separate e-Visa application.
When applying for a child's India e-Visa, select the child as the primary applicant. For the question 'Have you ever been to India?' — answer based on the child's travel history. The child's passport photo (meeting the same white background, no glasses specs) is required. For infants, a recent photo with a plain white background is sufficient.
The e-Visa application asks for the father's and mother's names. Enter the legal guardian's information as it appears on the child's birth certificate. If the child is traveling with only one parent, it is strongly recommended (but not currently a visa requirement) to carry a notarized letter of consent from the absent parent — many immigration officers request this.
Infant photos are the most commonly rejected in child applications. Requirements: white or off-white background, full face visible, eyes open, neutral expression (difficult with babies — do your best), JPEG format under 1MB. Lay the baby on a white sheet for the best result. Our team will check the photo before submission.
There is no reduced fee for children. The visa fee is the same as for adults — determined by nationality and duration. Processing time is also the same: 72–96 hours. Apply at least 7 days before travel for children, as any query or rejection will delay your entire family's trip.
